The Center for Dependency, Addiction and Rehabilitation (CeDAR) is UCHealth’s premier facility for addiction treatment in Colorado. Our innovative, evidence-based, inpatient and outpatient programs not only save lives, they provide a meaningful foundation for long-term recovery from addiction.
CeDAR offers a safe, professional and healing environment in Aurora, Colorado and offers virtual outpatient options.
Our compassionate and highly qualified staff has personal and professional experience along with extensive clinical training to promote healing, growth, and connection.
At CeDAR we believe that active addiction is best treated in an inpatient setting. Engaging in a residential addiction treatment program offers people the time, space, and resources they need to heal.
Following a successful detox and completion of an inpatient addiction treatment program, our outpatient clinic can allow people to continue their recovery program on a part-time yet structured and supportive schedule designed to accommodate people’s personal and professional lives.
At CeDAR, you’ll have access to our spiritual program, fitness program, nutrition experts, and and following your completion of treatment, we invite you to join our extensive alumni network where you will find a supportive community and sober activities to participate in.
For the forth year in a row, CeDAR was recognized as the #1 addiction treatment facility in Colorado by Newsweek.
Upon arrival at CeDAR, our experienced staff will guide you through intake, using your phone assessment as a foundation. We’ll then take your vital signs (temperature, blood pressure) and collect a blood sample to gain insight into your health and to advise your treatment plan.
A healthcare professional will assess your physical and mental health, including potential withdrawal symptoms.
Detoxification (if needed):
From the minute you arrive, our Denver medical detox team is able to administer medications to reduce the severity of withdrawal symptoms if needed. If you require hospitalization, we can easily transmit your information to the University of Colorado Hospital. While we don’t anticipate needing emergency room services, it is comforting to know that the ER is right across the street.
Your care team will work with you to structure an individualized plan designed to take you safely and comfortably through withdrawal and detoxification.
Once your intake has been completed, you will be brought to your cottage where you can get comfortable, get food and drink and prepare for your treatment journey with support from our 24hr staff.
Feeling nervous about treatment is normal, but our welcoming, inclusive community provides the ideal philosophy, aesthetics, compassion, and clinical support for people coping with addiction and mental health concerns.
